It is not possible to fight forest fires using normal fire-fighting measures. The fire brigade needs support from the air for this. Just like the prototype, the SIKU fire-fighting aircraft can be filled with water. The signal yellow colour enables the fire crews on the ground to make out the fire-fighting aircraft even during thick smoke. With a press on the release button, the water from the tank hurtles to the ground. On the aircraft, the nose wheel can be retracted and the main undercarriage can be raised.
