Refunds, Returns & Warranty Policy

At Toys101, we want you to be absolutely delighted with every toy you buy from us. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll do our best to make it right — quickly and fairly.

Exchanges

Changed your mind? No problem! You’re welcome to exchange an item within 21 days from the date of purchase, as long as it’s unused, in its original packaging, and in saleable condition.

Returns & Refunds

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as expected, please let us know as soon as possible — ideally within 7 days of receiving it. We’ll sort things out with a replacement, exchange, or refund, depending on what suits you best.

Repairs & Warranties

Many of the products we sell come with a manufacturer’s warranty, which covers defects in materials or workmanship.

If your toy develops a fault within the warranty period, we can help arrange a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances and the manufacturer’s policy.

Your rights are also protected under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).  This means that all products sold by Toys101 are guaranteed to be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund — and we’ll help make that process as smooth as possible.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Contact us at sales@toys101.co.nz with your order number and details of the issue.
  2. We’ll guide you through the warranty process and let you know what information or photos we need.
  3. Once assessed, we’ll coordinate with the supplier or manufacturer to get things sorted quickly.

Please note that warranties and CGA claims don’t usually cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse — but we’ll always do our best to find a fair and friendly solution.

How to Return an Item

  1. Email us at sales@toys101.co.nz with your order number and details of the issue.
  2. We’ll reply with simple instructions for returning your item.
  3. Once we’ve received and checked it, we’ll process your refund, exchange, or repair promptly.

A Few Quick Notes

  • Returned items must be in original, unused condition (unless faulty).
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or sent in error.
  • For exchanges, we’ll invoice or refund any difference in price and arrange the new delivery for you.
