Product description
Haflinger stallion
The Haflinger is a mountain horse from the South Tyrolean Alps and was named after the mountain village of Hafling. In Italian it means Avelengo, which is why the Haflingers are also called Aveligneser there.

The home of the Haflingers is a small town in the high mountains of the South Tyrolean Alps. In the past, you could not reach the mountain villages by car. There were usually only narrow paths that the farmers could only tackle on foot or with a sure-footed horse like the Haflinger. It moves safely even on the most adventurous mountain trails. The farmers therefore used it as a draft horse and tied wagons or sledges behind the horse to transport food and goods. Today the Haflinger is a popular sport and leisure horse.
