The Mario Kart – Standard Kart playset brings hands-on racing action into the LEGO Super Mario world, designed for kids aged 7–8 who enjoy building, role-play, and experimenting with moving parts. This set blends creative construction with familiar Mario Kart features, helping kids replay favourite race moments or invent entirely new ones.
Built for independent play or shared fun, the Standard Kart encourages careful tweaking and repeat play. Kids can test how drifting, gliding, and aiming affect the outcome, building confidence as they learn through trial, error, and imagination rather than speed alone.
The set includes a buildable Standard Kart with a detachable Super Glider, wheels designed for drifting, and a shell-launching function. A workstation with a target lets kids practise accuracy, while the included Toad (Pit Crew) figure adds storytelling opportunities as the kart is prepared for the next race. Adding LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach (from sets 71439, 71440, or 71441, sold separately) unlocks interactive Mario Kart sound effects, including race starts, honking, drifting, gliding, and extra reactions from the workstation’s Action Tag.
Building instructions are included in the box and available on the LEGO Super Mario app, along with ideas to expand play. This set also connects seamlessly with other LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart vehicles and characters (sold separately), making it easy to grow a full racing lineup.
