Goombas’ Playground is a light-hearted LEGO Super Mario Expansion Set designed for kids aged 7–8 who enjoy independent play, humour, and hands-on experimentation. This set focuses on simple mechanics and imaginative role play, making it easy for children to jump in, explore, and invent their own mini stories within the Super Mario world.
Rather than fast-paced action, this playground encourages curiosity and repeat play. Kids can test what happens when they press, balance, stack, and rebuild, helping develop problem-solving skills and confidence through trial and discovery.
The build features a tree trunk with a lever-activated Goomba pop-out function, a seesaw for balance play, and three Goomba figures that can be played with individually or stacked into a wobbly Goomba tower. Adding LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach (from sets 71439, 71440, or 71441, sold separately) turns the seesaw into an interactive balance challenge, blending physical building with digital feedback.
This Expansion Set connects easily with other LEGO Super Mario builds, making it a flexible addition to a growing course. Building instructions are included in the box and available on the LEGO Super Mario app, along with creative ideas to help kids rebuild and reimagine the playground as their skills grow.
