LEGO Friends 41749 Newsroom Van

Breaking news in Heartlake City: can Aliya’s report help save the tree?

LEGO® Friends Newsroom Van 41749 is packed with the raw ingredients of a brilliant story. There is a beautiful old tree, an owl protecting its nest, a logger arriving with a chainsaw and a concerned young boy who does not want the tree cut down. Then Aliya arrives with the Heartlake City news van, ready to investigate what is happening and share the story with the wider community.

What happens next is entirely up to the child telling the story. Does Aliya interview Peter the logger and listen to his side? Can Darrel explain why the tree and its wildlife should be protected? When a branch falls and the owl’s egg tumbles from the nest, will everyone put their differences aside and work together? This is imaginative LEGO® Friends play at its best, encouraging kids to explore different viewpoints, create their own dialogue and decide how the story ends.

The newsroom van opens to reveal everything Aliya needs to produce and broadcast her report, including screens, lights, microphones and a control area for editing the footage. An extendable camera crane captures the action from above, while accessories such as a walkie-talkie, notebook, pen, protest sign and chainsaw help make every scene feel believable. Once filming is complete, Aliya can return to the van, edit her report and go live with the latest news from Heartlake City.

This feature-packed set includes Aliya and Peter minidolls, a Darrel micro-doll, plus an owl, nest and egg. Designed for children aged 6 and over, it offers almost limitless storytelling possibilities involving journalism, wildlife protection, community debate and teamwork. For creative kids who love inventing characters and acting out their own LEGO® Friends adventures, Newsroom Van 41749 is a wonderfully original set that can tell a different story every time they play.
