The Lava Wave Ride Expansion Set brings high-energy movement into the LEGO Super Mario world, designed for kids aged 7–8 who enjoy testing balance, timing, and strategy. This set transforms a course into an exciting skill challenge, encouraging children to stay focused, try again, and improve with each run.

Perfect for social play or solo mastery, the moving lava wave creates a dynamic experience where no two attempts feel quite the same. Kids are rewarded for patience and coordination as they experiment with different ways to stay on course and collect rewards.

At the centre of the build is an oscillating lava wave with a Lava Lift for LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach (figures not included) to ride. Digital coins are earned by staying balanced on the moving wave and defeating the two Lava Bubbles positioned at each end. A Fire Bro enemy adds an extra challenge, giving older kids more complexity and replay value as they refine their approach.

A LEGO Super Mario Starter Course (71360, 71387, or 71403) is required for interactive play. The LEGO Super Mario app provides step-by-step building instructions, creative tips, and inspiration, helping kids rebuild and expand their lava level as their confidence and skills grow.
