RS Means Rally Sport
While there was no street-legal 2012 Fiesta RS available to the public, the RS badge lived on at the highest level of motorsport. The Fiesta RS WRC was a fully factory-supported World Rally Championship car developed by M-Sport to replace the Focus RS WRC.
Powered by a Pipo-built 1.6L EcoBoost turbo engine and packed with advanced rally technology, it was designed solely for competition — not commuting. Alongside the WRC version, Ford also produced RRC (Regional Rally Car) variants built to FIA regional regulations.
Road-going fans were offered the Fiesta ST or Zetec S instead, but the true RS name remained reserved for the ultimate rally machine. This Hot Wheels Compact Kings release celebrates that motorsport-only legend.
