Aeronautical Design, Taken to Extremes

Introduced in 2009, the Reventón Roadster was Lamborghini’s most exclusive open‑top model of its era. Inspired by modern combat aircraft such as the F‑22 Raptor, its angular surfaces, low‑cut windscreen, and dramatic proportions were unlike anything else on the road. Beneath the skin sat a steel structure reinforced for open‑top use, wrapped in carbon fibre and fitted with hidden deployable roll‑over protection.

Power came from a naturally aspirated 6.5‑litre V12 related to the Murciélago LP 670‑4 SuperVeloce, delivering blistering acceleration — 0–100 km/h in around 3.4 seconds — and a top speed of approximately 330 km/h. An automated e‑gear six‑speed transmission completed the package.

Rarity, Colour & Collector Context

Only 15 Reventón Roadsters were produced, following the 20‑unit coupe run, making it one of the rarest production Lamborghinis ever built. All factory examples were finished exclusively in matte “Grigio Reventón”, a colour developed specifically for the model.

This Hot Wheels release presents the Reventón Roadster in an alternate colourway. While Lamborghini never officially produced an orange Reventón Roadster, the casting remains a faithful tribute to the car’s radical form and historical significance within Lamborghini’s V12 evolution.
