Diesel is on a mission to prove that he is the real Number One Engine!

For a little Thomas & Friends fan, Diesel is a familiar friend who turns almost every railway job into a friendly competition. Thomas may proudly wear the Number 1, but Diesel is determined to race faster, pull bigger loads and show everyone on Sodor just how useful a diesel engine can be.

Inspired by Diesel from Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, this cheeky black engine is one of Thomas’s competitive friends. Diesel loves teasing the other engines and trying to get ahead, although his eagerness to win can sometimes land him in accidental trouble. Underneath all that rivalry, he knows that being a good friend and playing fairly are more important than coming first.

This motorised Diesel toy train lets little conductors create races, deliveries and playful Sodor stories of their own. Flip the switch on top and watch Diesel set off under his own power, ready to carry the biggest cargo, tackle an important railway job or challenge Thomas to another friendly race.

Diesel can run freely around the room or travel on compatible Thomas & Friends plastic track, excluding wooden track. His plastic connectors allow children to attach compatible engines, vehicles, cargo cars and tenders, each sold separately, helping them create longer trains and a growing railway filled with familiar friends.

Designed for preschool children aged 3 years and over, Diesel encourages imaginative storytelling and enjoyable repeat play. He requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries, which are not included. Toys101 sells suitable AAA batteries separately, so Diesel can begin his latest attempt to become the real Number One Engine as soon as he arrives.
