Hot Wheels Premium

Hot Wheels Premium cars are designed specifically with adult collectors and enthusiasts in mind. Unlike standard mainline cars, Premium models feature full metal bodies and chassis (Metal/Metal™), premium detailed paintwork, licensed graphics, and authentic Real Riders™ (rubber tires) instead of plastic wheels. They also come in larger, high-quality blister cards with exclusive artwork.

We know that the condition of the card and blister bubble is incredibly important to collectors! At Toys101, we take extra care when packing your collectibles. All Hot Wheels Premium cars are wrapped securely in bubble wrap or protective padding and shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes to prevent bending or crushing during transit across New Zealand.

At Toys101, we’re committed to keeping things fair for all collectors. We know certain Hot Wheels Premium releases generate huge excitement, but due to their limited nature and the variability in what we receive each month, we can’t guarantee stock in advance.
For this reason, we don’t offer pre-orders. Instead, when new releases arrive, we’ll let everyone know the release date and time ahead of launch. From there, it’s first come, first served—giving everyone an equal shot at securing their favourite pieces.
COLLECTORS TIP: Popular sets can sell out fast, so we recommend subscribing to our emails and following us on social media so you don’t miss release announcements. Being ready right at launch time can make all the difference!

We offer both options depending on availability! We sell individual cars from the latest mixes so you can pick and choose your favourite models. However, because certain cars are highly sought after, individual stock can sell out quickly. When available, we also offer complete sets or full factory cases for collectors who want to secure the entire wave at once.

Because Hot Wheels Premium cars are built to a true 1/64 scale, they will physically fit onto standard orange Hot Wheels tracks. However, due to their heavier die-cast metal chassis and wider rubber Real Riders™ tires, they may not perform as well on loops, gravity drops, or motorized boosters compared to regular lightweight mainline cars. They are primarily designed for display and rolling play.

We receive new shipments as they are released by Mattel throughout the year. Because stock is strictly limited and highly collectible, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is a specific older or highly elusive model you are looking for, feel free to contact our customer support team, and we will do our best to see if we can source it or find a remaining unit in our warehouse!
